Summer Reading Program 2013
Yes! We are making progress on getting our Summer Reading program planned out. The format of our program isn't expected to change much, but there will be some differences. For those that are new to our reading program, we run it for about 5 weeks with our final week ending a week before the Farmer's Picnic. We have activities and entertainers planned for each Monday of the program and are planning to have our usual float in the parade. This is open to children K-5 to participate in the reading portion and all ages are welcome to attend the activity days (we just ask that young children be accompanied by an adult). Children will read for points and rewards will be given out for points accumulated. This year, we will be looking for students who are the top readers and will have prizes for those who reach high goals.
We are looking for volunteers to help with our activity days to help supervise and assist with crafts. Anyone with a creative mind and who wants to help is welcome to join us on Mon. June 10th for a planning/ brainstorming session at 10 am here at the library.
In order to give us an idea on how many supplies we might need, please stop in or give us a call and let us know your name, phone #, how many children and what ages they are.
